FAQs

Here’s a few FAQ’s about what to expect.

How long does a service go for and what can I expect?

Our services run for 90 minutes. They are lively with music and singing at the start led by our live band and singers. During the service you will hear about what is happening around the church community, in particular key events coming up. An offering is taken (see below) followed by a 30min message from one of our preaching pastors. Our messages are aimed at applying the truths and wisdom of the Bible to every day life and are communicated in a fun and fresh way.

Where do I park?

There is free parking available at our venue and on the surrounding roads as well as a few manned carparks nearby which charge max 5RM per entry. Our hosts will be able to direct you.

What happens for kids during the service?

We have Whizz Kids for children aged 2-10 years old. They will leave after the worship at the start and head upstairs to have a blast with our brilliant Whizz Kids Teams! Due to SOPs, parents or guardians must escort your children to their venue rooms upstairs. Then you can collect your child after the service.

I have a baby – is there a parenting room?

Yes, the Parents & Baby Room is available during all services for parents with babies under 2. There is a live audio feed from the main service so you don’t miss out!

What time should I get to church?

Aim to arrive around 20 minutes before the service so you have time to park your car, register with a temperature check, sign-in your kids to Whizz Kids and find your seat.

Can I sit anywhere?

Yes – our friendly host team are there to help you find a seat if you wish. All seats are spread out with minimum 1 meter distance between them.

What do I have to wear, and do I have to bring anything?

Come as you are, but bring your mask which should be worn while in our building. You could also bring a Bible and notepad for taking notes if you want to.

Do you have disabled parking and seating?

Yes. Our car park team will direct you to the nearest disabled parking. Our hosts in the building will escort you to seating. All seats are removeable so we can take one away to allow you to sit close to a friend or relative.

Do I have to pay to attend church, or will I be asked for money at any time during my visit?

Everyone is welcome to attend church and there is no cost to attend. We do receive an offering as part of our worship to God during our services which is entirely free-will. No one is under compulsion to give at any time!

Can I let someone know I’m coming?

Everyone is required to book a seat online as spaces are limited and we are required by law to keep a record of attendance as part of the current SOPs. head to hopecity.my/sunday. Tickets are available from Sunday 12pm – Saturday 11pm each week. If you need to cancel your ticket, you can do so through your email confirmation so your seat is made available to others. You can also email hello@hopecity.my if you’d like to let us know so we can look out for you and help where needed.
