SHE IS Collective

It’s my heart that women of ALL ages would live their life to the fullest.

What do I mean by that? Well, I’m passionate about seeing a company of women who are secure, confident, happy, purpose-filled, free and strong, being all that God has called them to be.

I have some amazing ladies in my life that are full of wisdom and have a heart to lift others up. Together, we are launching SHE IS Collective – a weekly email where you can hear from them; talking about about life, faith, the issues we all face and how we can overcome them. I’d love to invite you to join us. Simply subscribe below to receive all the latest from SHE IS Collective.

Soul food

It’s week 8 of lockdown in the UK! Who imagined that it would go on for so long? To begin with, I felt excited about the possibilities that lay within my ‘new normal’. I got busy making plans on how to use this time well. My housemates can attest to this – I made a…

Finding beauty in the now

My youngest child, Luka has recently turned 11 years old. He’s in his final year of primary school and we are still unsure whether he will actually finish the school year there. It could be that the next time he goes to school will actually be high school! Twelve years of taking the kids to…

A perfect plan 2560 1707 Hope City Church

A perfect plan

Do you enjoy making plans? Making vision boards with all the pictures and bucket lists? Sometimes going overboard with the stationery? Sounds like you might be a ‘planner-holic’ like me! There’s just something about ticking off those things on my list that gives me a sense of accomplishment and being in control. Then life happens…

Standing on God’s word 2560 1707 Hope City Church

Standing on God’s word

“I’m so sorry, but there’s no sign of a pregnancy.” I can still feel the wave of shock and loss when I heard those words one Thursday afternoon in a hospital room after an emergency ultrasound. I was about to begin my ninth week of pregnancy for a baby my husband Ian and I had…

Planted with purpose

During the last couple of weeks, I have fulfilled a dream of mine – I planted my very first sunflowers. It’s something that I have wanted to do for years and I was so excited to share the whole process with you but it turns out they take a lot longer than two weeks and…

Protected time 2560 1922 Hope City Church

Protected time

In this day and age we’ve become so much busier in life. In our work and studies we have deadlines, with family and friends we have duty calls, then on top of this we have the dreaded laundry and emptying that dishwasher that we’ve left for days. When it comes to ourselves we have ‘ME’…

Time on your hands 2560 1707 Hope City Church

Time on your hands

As weird as this season is, I’m really enjoying staying at home and being able to do things that I don’t usually have time for. Now I know that’s probably not everyone’s thinking, but I have heard a lot of people talking about how they’re finally getting around to things that have been on their…

And I’m feeling good 2560 1707 Hope City Church

And I’m feeling good

I listen to the song ‘ Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone most mornings, usually as I’m getting ready. And as I sing along (very badly I must admit) the lyrics; ‘It’s a new day, it’s a new dawn, it’s a new life for me and I’m feeling good’, encourage, inspire and motivate me for the day ahead.…

What if? 2560 1806 Hope City Church

What if?

When I was pregnant with our middle child, towards the end of my pregnancy I entered the phase that is known as ‘nesting’…and if I’m completely honest after months of morning sickness, it was a stage I could finally get on board with. A clean house, organised cupboards and drawers, errrmm yes please! Now, I’m…

I’m not a normal mum 1982 1474 Hope City Church

I’m not a normal mum

So, I’m not a normal mum but I have a tendency to believe that despite that I’m a pretty awesome one! …And I think that my kids think that too! Well at least some of the time! To have a mum who loves children’s ministry, dancing (everywhere), has taught breakdancing and street dance and is…

Too much choice 2560 1702 Hope City Church

Too much choice

Variety is the spice of life! In 2020, our world seems to be one of unlimited choice; the possibilities almost endless. A few minutes walk from my house there’s an amazing Korean street food restaurant, Mexican food, a vegan pub, a French patisserie, stone baked pizza, the list goes on! I’m definitely not complaining! I…

Positioning is key 2560 1707 Hope City Church

Positioning is key

After returning from an amazing weekend in Sheffield, celebrating 20 years of our She Is women’s conference, I have realised more than ever, that positioning is key. I am not talking about jostling for position in the ranks, but the power of positioning yourself in the right place – the right atmosphere – and positioning yourself…
